Security officer Handgun course
Security Officer Handgun Course
The Citizen Warrior Defense Security Officer Handgun Course is designed specifically for armed security professionals who carry a handgun as part of their job duties. This course goes beyond basic firearms instruction by focusing on the practical skills, decision-making, and professional responsibilities associated with carrying a firearm in a security environment.
Students will receive instruction in firearm safety, duty handgun operation, drawing from a retention holster, loading and unloading, reloads, malfunction clearing, defensive handgun fundamentals, use of cover, threat identification, verbal commands, de-escalation, and appropriate use-of-force considerations.
Live-fire training reinforces safe weapons handling, accuracy, recoil management, duty-holster presentation, multiple-shot engagements, target transitions, and practical security-related shooting skills. Students will also be evaluated on their ability to safely handle their firearm and make appropriate threat-versus-non-threat decisions.
